A glimpse of Janis Design Journey

About Janis

Janis Naha is a design entrepreneur, decor consultant and interior stylist with over 17 years of experience in curating elegant and expressive interior spaces for her clients in India and UAE. She believes that art and decor has the power to move people and evoke emotions that words can never do justice to. Janis believes in creating personalised spaces for her clients by interacting with them at a deeper level to understand their life values and inspirations. ‘We need to figure out the interior style which really brings them joy and peace at the end of the day to sit back and relax’ says Janis. Janis when using her typical style focuses on creating timeless interior spaces with a transitional mix of elements from both worlds….she marries the old forgotten with the new innovative and trending ones. However there is no definitive line between the two and there is always a sink of both classics and modern, giving emphasis to the cultural and artistic elements with a futuristic vision of the space. She is presently looking forward to curate meaningful spaces for her clients with a therapeutic or holistic approach which aims to create living spaces beyond aesthetics and functionality…..home decor and styling that acknowledges the mindful impact of art, colour and natural elements on the human environment creating harmonious relaxing spaces that promotes wellness and enhances their daily living. Janis’s journey towards mixing colors, textures and weaves started during her school days when she assisted her family business in textile design. Her travel to different parts of India and UAE for sourcing products opened an appreciation for mixing various interior elements from different cultures to create beautiful styles. Janis says that she enjoys her role as an interior stylist more than being an entrepreneur or an educator as it gives her soulful freedom to play around with colors and textures to create blissful interior spaces. ‘I need a lot of focus while curating decorative accessories and I try to keep my mind free of distractions. I practice a sort of mindfulness where I immerse myself wholly in the process of combining the statement pieces of art and decor together. I experience a lot of joy when I get the combo right.Till then I need to observe and imagine with deep connection and being fully present in the moment.’ exclaims Janis like a chirpy little girl waiting for her next assignment. Above all, she has developed a structured or methodical way of decor consultancy & stylist services, which aids in completing the residential project curation within a certain time frame, where one can professionally plan, style and execute in an approximate period of 3 to 4 months. Her innovation and transformative spirit in learning new trends and adapting to it with perseverance and moving on with resilience is remarkable. Janis’s mission is to help you create the decor of your dreams and thereby, a heritage which will be cherished by generations to come. With a serious goal and a lot of fun and effort on the way there, her search in bringing out the truly unique and beautiful splendour in every home has taken her around the world in providing you with complete interior decor consultancy, curation & styling solutions.
